When I Have More Than One Window Open, Vista Freezes

I wonder if anyone else has been having the same problems that I have been experiencing. I have a computer that I got last year and I only use it for work. I noticed last night that if I start working without closing out of all windows vista freezes. It just totally freezes and I have to restart the computer. I wonder if I need a registry cleaner. I have read allot of good results when people do this to their computer. It is supposed to free up space so your computer runs faster and has fewer freezes. I think it is worth a try.
